Abstract

This article analyzes dust explosions occurring in the sectors of the economy of foreign countries. In the United States alone, at least 281 dust explosions have been reported in the past 25 years (between 2005 and 2020). As a result, 319 people died, 918 were injured, and industrial facilities suffered significant damage. About 70 additional dust explosions have been reported from 2015 to 2020. The main cause of the explosion is dust (aerosols) accumulated during the production of various raw materials and finished products.
